A son’s riveting look at a father whose life seemed straight out of a spy thriller, THE MAN NOBODY KNEW uncovers the secret world of legendary CIA spymaster William Colby, who rose through the ranks of “The Company” and soon was involved in covert operations in Vietnam and other hot spots around the globe. But after decades of obediently taking on the White House’s toughest and dirtiest assignments, and rising to become Director of CIA, Colby defied the President. Braving intense controversy, he opened up to Congress some of the agency’s darkest, most tightly held secrets and extra-legal operations. Now, his son Carl Colby asks a series of powerful and relevant questions about the father who was a ghost-like presence in the family home—and the intelligence officer who became a major force in American history, paving the way for today’s provocative questions about security and secrecy vs. liberty and morality. The film forges a fascinating mix of rare archival footage, never-before-seen photos, and interviews with former National Security Advisers Brent Scowcroft and Zbigniew Brzezinski, former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, former Secretary of Defense and CIA Director James Schlesinger, as well Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Bob Woodward, Seymour Hersh and Tim Weiner.
“Carl Colby’s smart, fact-packed film THE MAN NOBODY KNEW operates on many levels, all riveting.” –Andy Webster, New York Times (Critic’s Pick)
“… address[es] a security-paranoid nation’s covert sins with skeptical smarts and a respectful son’s understandable compassion.” –Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times
“THE MAN NOBODY KNEW… amounts to an absorbing, sometimes appalling course in how U.S. foreign policy evolved and functioned following World War II…” –Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal

THE ROOM is an electrifying American black comedy about love, passion, betrayal and lies, starring writer/director Tommy Wiseau as a successful banker with a great respect for—and dedication to—the people in his life, especially his future wife Lisa (Juliette Danielle). As the film depicts friendships and relationships in the lives of its five major characters, it raises life’s real and most-asked question: “Can you really trust anyone?” A midnight cult sensation, this quirky black comedy has been running for over 6 years in Los Angeles and is ready to take Oakland by storm. You’ll want to be there for the devastation it will leave in its wake!
“During showings, audience members rush to the screen and imitate action in the film, performing scenes including tossing footballs and engaging in dialogue with characters” – LA Times
”It is a guilty pleasure in every sense of the word” – Entertainment Weekly
“The awful movie everyone wants to see.” – Time
The film’s running time is 99 mins; it is rated R.
